Parenthood Support

Before you even have your baby and become a parent, Cuidiú has much to offer. Anyone is welcome to attend any of our meetings before the birth of their baby.

It can be very valuable to talk to other Mums who have given birth. Meetings are held in an informal setting, where you can chat to other mums and listen to their experiences. By tapping into our network of support before you have your baby, it can be much easier to ask for support in the early days at home with your new baby.

The monthly coffee morning held in Mahon Point Shopping Centre is part of the Mums-to-be and New Mums support meetings. Other meetings are held in member’s private homes, please email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) for details.

Parenthood Supporters are a group of Cuidiu members who can provide a listening ear and support for anyone who would like to talk in confidence about the ups and downs of parenting. They are available by phone and regularly attend Cuidiu events.

Cuidiú also operates an Experience Register which is a list of parents who have or had a particular experience(s) and are willing to talk and share with others about them.  Being able to talk about concerns with others in the same situation as you can be helpful and every enquiry is handled in a sensitive and strictly confidential manner.
